This $26.99 Aldi Pot Is a Le Creuset Copycat—I Use It All the Time

This .99 Aldi Pot Is a Le Creuset Copycat—I Use It All the Time

I love my seven quarters of Dutch oven so much that I often pull it out to make things like smaller batches from Mac, cheese and chilli. However, it is massive and a bit like snow boots on the beach. So when I learned that the Aldi crofton two-liter-iron-iron hub oven I returned, I knew it was time to add it to my collection. This little power package has all the great features that I love in perfect everyday size via Aldi.

The shiny enamel coating means that no spice is required, and this beautiful creme finish is pretty enough to go directly from the stove to the table, an advantage that I will always get behind. Like many special finds from Aldi, this crofton piece has an incredible price, especially if you think about what is still on the market.

A Le Creuset of this size costs around 260 US dollars, and a dust costs 231 US dollars. There are more affordable Dutch ovens of brands such as lodge that can be found for less than 50 US dollars, but they do not have the enamelled finish. With only 26.99 US dollars, the Crofton Pot is a real theft.

Aldi Crofton 2-Quart-Holländer stove

  • Price: $ 26.99 for a two -tone Dutch oven
  • Why I love it: The two-1 stock is perfect for cooking for my little family. I particularly love the versatility of the enamelled coating of the pot and is safe.

Why I’m happy

I have and use a few larger crofton parts from Aldi. Therefore, adding this smaller size feels like the natural next step. It is the ideal size for my family of Fours Favorite Creamy Parmesan Risotto. I will also easily be able to produce a small amount of tomato sauce with the last summer tomatoes.

I am a fan of working with enamel coating because I can confidently cook acidic food without reacting with the iron. And the fact that it is a oven-safe, it still makes it versatile and present me small bread puddings, seasonal chips and cobbler recipes and braised vegetables.

Simply recipes / Aldi

From my experience with other depths of crofton, I have found that the cast iron heats up evenly and keeps the heat steadily, which feels for important parents with a variety of things. I often let things simmer on my stove while I tend to other dishes or pick up my children, and with this type of heat, it is less likely to reduce it.

Aldi’s Dutch oven is an example of everything I find about a good cuisine: it triggers a real problem, looks nice and costs less than a chic dinner. As someone who likes to cook, but mainly cooks for a small family, I see how I often reach for this pot.
