Nostalgie met me when I read the Deli case at Aldi. There was between some Cheddar and Habanero Jack Snack sticks of my baby’s favorite cheese.
Now my “baby” is larger than me and just started the high school, but the Happy Farms Gouda Cheese Snack Sticks brought me directly to his toddler.
Aldi’s Happy Farms Gouda Cheese Snack Sticks
- Price: $ 2.85 for 9 ounces (12 sticks)
- Why I love it: They are portable, inexpensive and have a soft texture and a slightly sweet taste.
Why Aldi’s Gouda Cheese Snack Sticks are the favorite of my family
When my son was dead, I ended up chasing him around Aldi when I didn’t put him in the car. One day when shopping, I grabbed a bag with these Gouda sticks and opened one to employ it while I gathered my food.
He held the cheese in his little hands and carefully took a bite and then another and another. When he was finished, we were already in line and soon at the door. The cheese had worked on its magic, and in the next few months I grabbed a package every time I was there. I was broken with a broken heart when this temporary object disappeared from the corridors.
I only saw it once or twice that I was so happy to find it again – at least for now.

What I love about Aldi’s Gouda Snacking cheese
At 2.85 US dollars for a package with 12 sticks, this cheesy snack is at a reasonable price and Gouda, I mean, good. When you open an individual floor, a hint of sweet Gouda tickles your nose. The cheese itself is milky, soft and slightly sweet. It is perfect for snacking, regardless of whether you are a toddler or an adult.
The sticks themselves are long rectangles – maybe well for teaching small children. Years ago they were rounded and cheese -like in shape, but they taste the same. The snack cheese is also available in a Habanero jack taste that offers a bit of heat and is not so good for toddlers, but is perfectly fine for teenagers.
How I use the Gouda snack cheese
What I loved about these kitschy sticks – and still like – is their portability. Do you need a quick protein on the street? They fit into the bill. Do you need a snack to the park? They are perfect. Would you like to round off a school meal? Just throw in one.
On the back of the package it is suggested that you can use it to make mini -gouda and fruit skewers, which sounds delicious. They are also practical if you only need a little cheese to melt on something – my husband used one recently to surpass his tacos. One or two could be thrown into a simple Mac’n cheese to make it kitscher. They could also be easily embedded in Pita -Sandwiches.
Since these cheese snacks are there today and are gone tomorrow, they want to snap a few before they disappear again.
