Lift your hand when the thought of making the “perfect” cooked egg delivers shiver over your spine. For the longest time it used to be me. Despite my love for a creamy egg salad sandwich, the Jammy Yolked beauties over a good salad or a hearty lentils or even a simple, hard-boiled egg that was eaten with Dukkah, cooking was filled with a surprising amount of fear. It always felt like a science experiment with high commitment, with results that were often not in my favor.
Then my mother bought me the Joie Eggy Egg Timer. This orange, egg -shaped cooking companion is designed in such a way that it guess all assumptions from boiling eggs. They put it in the pot with their eggs and it literally changes the color when they are ready.

Why I love the Joie Eggy Egg Timer
Before I gave this timer, my journey became perfectly cooked eggs for the introduction of watch observation and fingern crossing. After years of training next to the Joie -Timer, I (luckily) developed an intuitive system for cooking my eggs. But I still recommend it to anyone who has not yet found it out.
It is regularly sold for around 7 to 8 US dollars at other retailers, which is already worth every cent. However, the price tag from dollar Tree is a Bonkers $ 1.25, which makes it a childcare gift or an addition to every kitchen. (Parents, I think especially of those among them who start the children in September or move out alone.)
To be honest, it couldn’t be easier to use. You simply put the timer in the pot with your eggs and cover everything with cold water. Then put the pot on the stove and bring it to a boil. The timer gradually changes to the color when the water heats up and comes to the temperature, which reveals clear lines that indicate when your eggs are soft, medium or hard or hard.
Sometimes the boiling water can make it difficult to see the timer. If this happens to you, lift it up or out of the water with a slit spoon to check it. As soon as the eggs have hit their desired Geriness, just remove them and put them in an ice cream bath. While the eggs definitely benefit from a cold jump, the timer of this type of shock cannot withstand. So just let it cool in the hot water.
The best thing about the timer is that it helps you to get perfect eggs every time. In my individual days I used it to cook a dozen eggs for preparing meals because they knew that they would all be the same.
For everyone like me, who once saw it cooked as an intimidating task, the Joie Eggy Egim -Timer simply does it. For 1.25 US dollars, it is a tiny investment that is calmed down – and of course delicious eggs.
