Tips from the Esswell test kitchen

These are the most important tips that we have learned when developing and testing this recipe in our test kitchen to ensure that it works, tastes good and is also good for you!

  • If you want, you can replace the pumpkin puree with sweet potato puree. For a different taste and another texture, consider the dough citrus shell or chopped nuts.
  • To make it easier to remove the bread from the pan, line the pan with parchment paper so that some can hang over the edges. This creates handles to lift the bread when it is finished.
  • Although it may be tempting to cut a warm slice directly from the oven, it is best to let the loaf cool completely. This completely enables the crumb to achieve a better texture and make cutting easier.
