Why am I so enthusiastic about Aldi’s Expanding Colander

One thing that really gives me the ick is the bottom of a colander that touches the sink. Although I cleaned my kitchen rinsing every day, there are times when I pour pasta or a can of beans into the sink, and the water or bean fluid fills over the base of the colander so that the liquid can go in both directions.

Although the pressure from the drain is likely to prevent this (do experts want to weigh out there?), I still find it gross.

I don’t have to worry about this colander at all. It fits over my sink, far above the base and enables the liquid to flow without fear of a cross contamination. Over and beyond very I love an important point (in my book) for several other practical reasons:

  • It saves the room. Its collapsible design collapses in smaller rooms and simply makes it easier to save in drawers or cupboards, especially in small kitchens with a limited storage room like mine.
  • It fits over most sinks. This function enables hands -free lawyers, which is particularly useful if they deal with hot liquids. The colander remains stable and enables me to water with both hands. This feels particularly important when you carry a large, heavy pot with just cooked pasta over the kitchen.
  • It is multifunctional. Of course, we usually think colanders as a way to strain food. But I use mine to rinse fruits, vegetables, grain and legumes and to fell up like shrimp. I put a tray underneath to catch the melted liquid and put it in the fridge.
  • It is well built. The material is durable, flexible and light, which it is easy to use and has an excellent job for long -term use. I only had it for a short time, but it also feels as if the quality of the material against coloring and smells would be resistant.
  • It is portable and travel -friendly. I rarely pack a colander, but when we rent a cottage or spend the night in a hotel room, it’s great to rinse vegetables and fruit for healthy snacks quickly. Since this collapses, it is much easier to put in a bag or a suitcase.
  • It is easy to clean. Sometimes it feels like all I’m clean. Everything that can go into the dishwasher is a winner for me.
  • It is affordable. I have already mentioned the price of a comparable Colander from Amazon. Due to its multifunctionality, however, it could also replace several other kitchen tools and save money and space in the long run.
  • It looks good. I am an approved idiot for things that also look good in my room. The modern, slim design of this colander also looks good when sitting on a counter or in the DISH frack. Important? Nice to have? Absolutely!

In this culture of consumer strikers there are many unnecessarily complicated and overpriced kitchen appliances. But Aldis affordable, expandable colander offers a solution. It is simple, effective and above all – it only works.
