This is one of my preferred French toast dishes together with French toast casserole and pumpkin churro French toast sticks. It is time to try a new kind of French toast!
What is better than breakfast or lunch? Brunch, of course! I love to organize brunch because it is a fun turning away from the usual meals of the day. I often take a brunch for special occasions such as Mother’s Day, New Year’s Day or even festive Saturdays.
One of the great things in planning a brunch menu is that you can include both sweet and hearty dishes. This French, French, French, French cheese is definitely on the sweet side and it is a simple but decadent addition to food. To make this recipe, start making French toast. Whisk egg milk, sugar and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Heat your frying pan or pan and melt butter on the frying pan. Whisk eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla.
Preheat a frying pan for medium.
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter on the frying pan.
Soak 4 slices of bread in the dough and place on the frying pan. 3-4 minutes on each side or until it is cooked.
Wipe the frying plug clean with a paper towel and repeat the process with the remaining tablespoon of butter and 4 bread slices.
While the French toast cooks, let the cream cheese fill.
Put the cream cheese in a bowl and beat lightly and fluffy with a mixer. Add the sugar powder and hit it together.
Cut the slices of the French toast in two halves diagonally.
On 4 plates 1 slice of French toast. Top every toast slices with about 1-2 tablespoons of cream cheese filling and then with 2 tablespoons of raspberries and 1 tablespoon of almonds.
Place the second piece of French toast on every stack. Repeat this with the remaining French toast.
Garnish almonds, 2 tablespoons of raspberries and remaining cream cheese filling with about 1 tablespoon of chopped almonds with about 1 tablespoon. Top with minting branches when used. Serve with maple syrup.
- I used Brioche, but Challah or another egg bread would also be great. You can also use a fluffy French bread or a Texan toast.
- You can use all chopped almonds. However, I often used chopped almonds roasted with honey roasted for a little more taste.
- Buy proposed almonds in advance or chop your own almonds.
