Roasted Garlic White Bean Soup

Roasted Garlic White Bean Soup

Another bean recipe comes up to you! This bean soup is so damn good! And the best thing is that it is made without a cream at all. I have eaten this soup for 4 days in a row and I love it every time. If you have not followed, I have been pursuing a bean protocol lifetime lately, which means I have beans at least 5 times a day. And having a soup like this at hand makes the food of beans even easier and more pleasant. Especially since it snows outside and I have no interest in leaving my house until it is at least 50 degrees outside again. To be cold is so stupid. Soup is so smart.

If you don’t make beans so as not to worry, I have countless strictly paleo soups to choose from. My friend Jess currently lives with us while she is between apartments and made tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches last night. Let me tell you something – to have someone else if you cook your food that is made with love is the best! I don’t even understand that because I do most of the cooking in our house and when my husband does something, it is usually out of a mood. Not that he doesn’t love me, but he didn’t put his heart into his soul in the baking of salmon. Well, balls, now I only feel bad because I don’t give him enough recognition. He is really great … but Jess’ tomato soup and grilled cheese was better. How can I have someone cooked with love once a week? Should I set a professional cook who is secretly in love with me? And how do I find that? I don’t give up exactly a mood that would fall in love with a stranger, but maybe I could work on it.

How did we get here at all?

Unfortunately Jess From Monday, so that meals come to an end. My sister -in -law lived with us a few times Jess Has lived with us a few times, now I just try to move my brother -in -law to Colorado and also live with us. We are a rotating door in this house. But people nearby are so much fun! I can essentially have a husband and a funny roommate at the same time, which means that I have someone with whom I watched the bachelors. It is a real win-win situation. I am not sure how we got to roommates from soup, but this is how these contributions normally go anyway. Let us summarize things here – do this soup. Kloveyoubye!

  • Total time: 1 hour 20 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 1X
  • 2 Garlic bulb
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Yellow onion, cubes
  • 3 (14 ounces) cans of large northern beans, drained and flushed
  • 1– –2 Teaspoon of salt (depending on how salty you like your soup)
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon Cayenne
  • 32 ounces Chicken bone broth
  • 1/4 cup Avocado oil
  • 10 Fresh sage leaves
  • 4– –6 Disc panels

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cut about 1/4 inches from the top of the garlic bulb and reveal the cloves of garlic inside. Put the garlic bulb in a muffin form, cut the page up. 1 tablespoon of olive oil over everyone and sprinkle with salt. Cover the light bulb with aluminum foil. Place in the oven to bake for 30-40 minutes until the cloves are soft and golden brown.
  2. As soon as the garlic lamps are ready for cooking, put a large saucepan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil together with the yellow onion and a scatter of salt. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until translucent and fragrant. Add beans together with salt, parsley, thyme, black pepper and cayenne. Cook for about 3 minutes to wake up the herbs and then add the chicken bone broth. Use a fork to pull out all caramelized cloves of garlic and add them to the pot. Cover and bring about 8-10 minutes to a low cook.
  3. Add avocado oil in a small pan over medium to high heat. As soon as oil is very hot, add sage leaves and cook less than 10 seconds. Remove and adjust it to a paper towel and sprinkle with salt. Remove excess oil from the pan and add the ham to cook 10-20 seconds per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. Finally, use an immersion mixer to mix the soup smoothly. Try whether the salt needs more salt or black pepper before serving. Top soup with crispy sage leaves and ham and then serve them!
