Popular Ice Cream Sold at Walmart and Kroger Recalled Because of Major Packaging Error

Imagine that you open a fresh half gallons ice cream just to discover that the taste on the packaging is not the taste in the box. This happens more frequently than expected – in fact it is at least the second time this month of ice cream incorrectly packaged.

For most of us it is a frustrating but little problem. For some people, however, this type of labeling error could be a serious health risk. For this reason Blue Bell remembered his Moolllennium crunch ice cream.

What caused the recall?

While a retailer replenished Blue Belleis, an employee of Blue Bell Moolllennium Crunch cover discovered lid on chocolate biscuit cooking boxes. The boxes contained Moolllennium crunch, which were made from roasted pecannies, chopped almonds and walnut pieces-all are tree nuts, one of the most common food allergies in the country.

If someone who is allergic to tree nuts is unknowingly eats a spoon of Moolllennium Crunch, who believes that it is chocolate biscuit, this could lead to a life-threatening reaction.
