I am always looking for a better cup of coffee, so it is not a surprise that my Tikok algorithm is stacked with coffee content – the good, the bad and that is indispensable. A recipe for viral coffee I captured me, especially now that it is Eced Coffee season: a splash of Coca-Cola (or pepsi or whatever you have outside the brand-I can’t see the difference) in your iced coffee.
It’s bubbling, sweet, refreshing and my new favorite method to drink my cup of Joe.
Why coffee and cola actually work
While you may shake your head and wonder if I wrote an rage, you can listen to me: Eced Coffee and Cola are a match that was made in the sky of Summer drink.
Cola is sugar and flavored with vanilla and caramel and compensates for the bitterness and acidity of coffee. It is not so different from adding a spoonful of sugar or a pump of your favorite syrup to your morning brew. And since medium -sized coffee beans (which are most popular in the USA) often have grades of chocolate or toffee, the two drinks complement each other naturally.
Then there is the carbon dioxide. This bubbling elevator from the cola makes the drink feel particularly refreshing, similar to a cousin of a trendy espresso tonic that you would find in a New York café.

How to make the best ice coffee at home
Regardless of whether you have an espresso or a regular drip coffee setup, it is easy to make this drink at home. Start with half a cup of your preferred cola, which was poured over a cup of ice cream, and then slowly with a double influence freshly brewed espresso (or instant-blue bottle is my point of contact). Add a turn of citrus fruits or a splash of full milk if you want.
Strong brewed coffee works just as well. Relax it and then pour it over ice with an equal amount of cola – always cola first. The dark roast lasts best, but to be honest, use everything you have. Cold brew? Even better.
Make it your own
- Adjust the sweetness: Half a cup of cola may be a lot if you usually take your coffee black. Start with a quarter cup and work up to find your ideal balance.
- Use cold brew: Try it for a smoother, less acidic drink that fits well too sweet, it with cold brew. Bonus: It is easy to stack preparation.
- Switch on your soda: Classic cola works great, but cherry, vanilla or even spices Colas bring something new. Do you feel brave? Kombucha adds a funky turn.
- Add citrus fruits: A cut of lime or a turning of orange peel cuts wealth and makes it particularly refreshing.
- Make it creamy: A splash of whole milk, oat milk or even sweetened condensed milk turns you into a sweet pleasure with a low effort.
- Make dessert: Let a ball of vanilla ice cream or gelato make it into a caffeinated float.
- Sports you on: A pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg or cardamom gives heat and depth without overwhelming the drink.
- Boozy version: Do you want to turn your heads? A splash of coffee, dark rum or Amaro takes him from Tikkok Hack to the cocktail lesson.
