M & MS have been a staple of American candy landscape for more than 75 years. It cannot be confused with its colorful candy bowl. I am something like an M&M expert because I try brand new flavors as soon as they fall, so I know the sweets well.
Or me Thought I knew M & MS until I tried the latest sweets in the constant line -up. It reminds me of the cultural nerds rubber clusters: Another unique, iconic candy became something that the taste profile both increased and reinvented.

- Why I love it: Each bite begins with chocolate M&M taste and a crispy, airy center and then becomes a tough caramel. I have never had M&M’s (and that says something).

What are the brand new M & MS?
M & MS Pop-Karamell has the legendary chocolate shell, but the center is a crispy freezer-dried caramel filling. This candy feels what would happen if you left a bag of M&MS in your car on a hot summer day, and instead of melting, they exploded to a brand new candy.
While the original M&MS are all quite uniform, the Pop’D version has different forms. It reminds me of popcorn, where some of the kernels really pack and others not so much.
The taste is remarkable. It definitely tastes like M&MS chocolate, but in a way that I have never had before. Because they are caramel, they ultimately get a lot of interaction between the flavors and textures. The first bite is classic M&MS, then chew a few times and it is crispy and airy, and then it becomes a tough caramel that makes them forget that they actually started eating an M&M.
I always ate sweets out of my pocket and shook my head in disbelief over what had been achieved. The 5.5 -unzen package is re-wearing, but in my experience you will ever have to use a function that you ever need to use.

The best thing about it? M & MS Pop’D is not Limited Edition – It is a permanent part of the M&M list! I hope that means that we get more aromas because I need A crispy peanut butter version.
