According to the Tikkok Girlies, a 2025 Martha Stewart Sommer. Although I am generally quite dull when it comes to Tikok trends, this is one that I feel in my bones. Think of the classic buzzer on the east coast: LL bean-shopping bags, the perfect laundry button down, freshly baked galletting from locals and a vase from blue hydrangeas bloom from your garden on your counter.
Do not understand the wrong idea now. I am over the most distant that you can get from Martha. My house is usually a chaos, I can’t keep a plant alive to save my life, and I am too sweaty to rock linen. (It’s good to have goals, right?)
What the Tikok Girlies does not know is that years ago I learned a summer secrecy from Martha’s chic. Perhaps it was the least of the least glamorous circumstances, but I created a version of her Cucumber Since.

How I fell in love with cucumber water
I have three children. My first was delivered in January and my second and third came at the end of November, which means that all my first trimesters took place in the hottest months of the year.
The first time I was pregnant, I had a fairly standard morning illness – nothing that I could not manage, but also not a walk in the park. Fortunately, my four sisters had some proven remedies for me, of which one like Martha sipped a cucumber water.
Without other children you should take care of – and all the time in the world to spoil me – I filled a jug of water and adorned it tenderly with a few slices, a whisper of fresh lemon and a few branches of fresh coin. Whenever a wave of nausea hit, I drank my sweet little preparation and felt a cool feeling of relief.
When I got pregnant with my youngest, the cucumber water became a survival mechanism from a lifestyle choice. I had never been sick; For about 20 weeks I could hardly stand out of bed. (Ok, I exaggerate a little here because I didn’t have a big option-I had two little ones to see.) The only thing that made relief was a huge Stanley cup full of ice-cold cucumber water.
As Martha points out, I would clean the cucumbers and then add cold, filtered water. I would let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour and then sip it all day. The subtle cucumber taste helped me to call me up.

Tips for the production of cucumber water
If you want to experience your own Martha Stewart Summer, I would suggest preparing a large amount of this thirsty cucumber water at the beginning of every week. You can switch it up as I sometimes do, and add fresh ginger or watermelon cubes.
It is great to add a fresh bike to citrus fruits, but I would only do it shortly before the sip, as it can be a little bit bit bitter and overwhelming. The same applies to fresh herbs such as mint or basil – they are delicious if they are combined with the cucumber, but they will tan too far in advance.
This infused water is best consumed within 3 days. Longer and the cucumber begins to lose its crispness. However, it is so refreshing that it will not take that long.
