I recently shared my Slow Cooker Shred Chicken Recipe and received many inquiries for this Instant Top recipe. So I tested it and I am happy to share it with all of them. As much as I love to do it in the slow cooker, this method is the fastest for perfectly shredded chicken and so great for preparing meals. Depending on the preference, you can use boneless, skin -free chicken breasts or bones without your preference.

  • Chicken broth: Use homemade or your favorite brand.

How to make chicken chicken in the instant pot

This recipe is so easy – just in the pot and switch it on! The printable instructions can be found in the recipe card below.

  1. Add all the ingredients to the instant pot. Put the machine at high pressure for 10 minutes. Let it relieve it for 8 minutes (i.e. not the pot when the 10 minutes have expired). Then make a quick publication (i.e. the switch on the cover from “Seal” on “vent”).
  2. The chicken crushed: Take the chicken out of the pot, put it on a cutting board and crush it with 2 forks or a blender. Remove the celery and herbs from the pot and save the broth to make soup another time.

  • Place the Instant pot on the manual high pressure for 10 minutes. Let it relieve it for 8 minutes. Then make a quick publication.

  • Remove the chicken, discard the solids, you can save the broth for another use if desired.

  • Shoot the chicken with two forks or a hand mixer and cool up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

  • If desired, add the crushed chicken a small broth to keep it moist.
