To make this flank steak marinade, you need soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire -Sauce, Dijon -Senf, ground black pepper and garlic. You also need a flank steak to place in the marinade! You will find quantities and details in the recipe card below.
How do you make flank steak marinade?
So that this flank steak marinade give all the ingredients in a large bowl. Whisk everything together. You can reserve a small marinade to use it as a sauce before putting your beef in the marinade. It is important to cut your flank steak against the grain so that it is as tender as possible. You can find the direction of the grain by watching your meat and see how the muscle fibers run. Make sure you cut these fibers and not in parallel to them.
Flank steak can be absolutely marinated overnight. I recommend marinating your steak for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.
How long do you cook flank steak?
I usually cook my flank steak for about 5-6 minutes on each side, which leads to meat that is cooked on the outside and still boils pink in the middle. The best way to measure on Zug is to use a meat thermometer. I recommend cooking your flank steak to medium, which is an inner temperature of 145 degrees F. If you don’t want your meat to be pink, you can cook it for medium -sized wells up to 150 degrees F or 160 degrees F for well -made cooking.

- Funny: Add red pepper flakes, chili powder or a few strokes of hot sauce to give your steak some warmth.
- Herbs: You can add this marinade to your favorite rooms such as chopped coriander, oregano or parsley.
- Citrus fruits: Feel free to add a small lime juice, lemon juice or orange juice for a light citrus taste.
- Spice: You can add your favorite spices such as peppers, garlic powder or cumin.
- Sweet: If you prefer honey brown sugar, you can heat 3 tablespoons of honey in the microwave and wipe into the marinade instead of brown sugar.

- Combine the soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire -sauce, mustard and pepper in a re -lockable bag. Seal and shake to combine.
- Reserve 2 tablespoons of marinade for later use. Stir the garlic in the pockets of the marinade.
- Add the steak and marinate in your fridge for 2 to 24 hours.
- Heat an outdoor grill or a stove top grill pan up to medium height. Place the steak on the grill and cook it for 5-6 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of your meat and the desired level.
- Take the meat out of the grill and cover it with foil. Leave it for 5-10 minutes and then cut thinly against the grain with a very sharp knife. Drizzle with reserved marinade and then serve.
- I usually damp my marinated flank steak, either outdoors on a charcoal grill or in a grill pan. You can also bake your meat, fry or fry pans if you prefer it.
