This microwave chocolate cake actually tastes like cakes, and since I posted this recipe for the first time in 2012, I have done it more often than I would like to admit. It is not too cute (although you can play around the sugar content when you have a sweet tooth!), It is the perfect small size and it is not a egg. It is simple, fast and hits the place when you need a small chocolate repair. 😋

I don’t know anything about you, but I think eggs can make Microwave cups cakes rubber or spongey, which is why I left them out of this simple recipe. If you skip the egg, this recipe will also be more affordable and easier to scale! Not an unpleasant half -racket with which you can act around a smaller or larger part!
But one of me favorite Things about this recipe for chocolate cake cake are the sticky surprise that is hidden in the middle. I always add a spoonful peanut butter in front of the microwave and melts into this warm, creamy bag, which feels the whole cake particularly forgiving. Do not try to let the peanut butter (or the jam or whatever you fall into the center. I shared some funny variations below!) Because it helps to keep the cake moist and rich. Without it it wouldn’t be the same.
Chocolate cake cake
- 2 Tbsp All -purpose flour ($ 0.02)
- 1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder ($ 0.03)
- 2 TSP Sugar ($ 0.04*)
- 1/4 TSP baking powder ($ 0.02)
- A pinch of salt ($ 0.01)
- 1 Tbsp Base oil ($ 0.04)
- 2 Tbsp Milk ($ 0.04)
- 1 Tbsp Peanut butter ($ 0.14)

Stir the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt) in your mug. Make sure there are no lumps.

Stir in the vegetable oil and milk until the mixture is smooth. Let a tablespoon of peanut butter fall into the middle and press it down into the dough.

How to do a chocoladium cup cake step by step
Collect all of your ingredients.
Combine the dry ingredients: Add 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 teaspoon of sugar, 1/4 tsp baking powder and a pinch of salt to a microwave -safe cup. Stir them together very well.
Add the wet ingredients: Add 2 tablespoons of milk and 1 tablespoon of oil and then stir until it forms a dough.
Add the peanut butter: Let a dash of peanut butter (approx. 1 tablespoon) fall into the middle of the dough.
Cook: Microwave up for one minute and you have a cake with a melting peanut butter center! The cake becomes extra light and fluffy and the peanut butter type of one -piece when the cake rises around it. So magical!

I have had this chocolate cake for some time on the blog and as always I love to see how the readers make this recipe their own. There are so many fun opportunities to switch it or dress up a little, depending on what you are in the mood. Here are some of my favorite ideas:
- Use crispy peanut butter instead of smooth for an additional texture
- Exchange the peanut butter for Nutella, jam (every kind! I think raspberry would be fantastic), marshmallow fluffy, caramel sauce or biscuit butter
- Make it milk -free and vegan by using your favorite milk on a herbal basis
- Exchange the all -purpose flour for 1: 1 gluten -free flour if you cannot have a gluten
- Some readers were successful to double this recipe! I would extend the cooking time by 15-30 seconds and set as required (the cake should look, but still soft when it is finished).
- Mix some chocolate chips for even more chocoladic quality
- Add a splash of vanilla extract
- If you want to build the sweet factor without changing the recipe, you can serve it with ice cream (I would choose vanilla or strawberry ice cream), chocolate pieces, Nutella (or another chocolate walnut spread), observe like our cherry sauce or strawberry syrup, powder-shaped sugar or fresh berries!
