Autumn is my favorite season. My birthday is not only in autumn, but I am also a fool for all types of autumn activities. Folk trips, pumpkin patch data and sip -PSLs are my idea of ​​fun. But nothing goes through a visit to the apple garden.
When I grew up in New England, my family would visit a day of the local apple garden every year. We would choose apples, drive hay, eat cider donuts and drink a lot of warm cider. Apples and caramel for victory
Apples and caramel are a match in heaven. The rich, sweet taste of the caramel compensates for the sour bite, for which many types of apple is known. And while I love a caramel-diving apple pane, combining cider with caramel bought in the store creates an equally incredible taste and helps to cut through the Tannian aftertaste that it sometimes has. This decadent sweet pleasure is also perfect after summer when I usually have a stray glass (or two) caramel in the fridge from the Sundae season.
My favorite apple wine is by far from Big BS, a local orchard – it has the perfect bite and the natural sweetness and a large body of all the natural apple festivals that I love that I like to see in an unortated cider. However, it is really every cider – although I recommend finding a beautiful, cloudy variety from an orchard near you if possible.
On the caramel front, I often only use the brand for the Jarred sauce brand in the ice cream. Most recently, the 365 brand Bio -salted caramel sauce from the Whole Foods Market – it is thick, creamy and has exactly the right salt level for this recipe.

Simple changes
Although this simple recipe is so perfect, I sometimes mix things a little with a few changes:
- Dress it: When I turn into a treat after dinner this afternoon, I will surpass it with a large dash of whipped cream, a pinch of cinnamon and maybe an additional pine caramel. It not only looks nice, but the whipped cream adds a creamy wealth that feels a festive feast.
- Make it a swimmer: When I long for this recipe on a warmer day, I make a single portion (or a large batch), cool it for 30 to 60 minutes and serve it with a large ball of vanilla ice cream (and another pine caramel). Chef of the chef!
Pour your cider for an even simpler method directly into an autumn cup and a microwave to two minutes. Then stir in the caramel sauce until they are dissolved.

Pour into your favorite cup and enjoy! This makes the perfect amount for a large mug, but you can easily scale the recipe to serve a crowd – it stays warm on the stove without losing the taste.
