Let me introduce my new summer of summer, the Brazilian lemonade! This recipe with 3 -intrigued patients uses whole fresh lime (yes, lime, no lemons), sweetened condensed milk and water to make the most refreshing enjoyment. After a quick shoot in the mixer, you have an ice-cold, foamy drink that is citrically, creamy and completely budget-friendly. I have done it more often than I can count this summer, and I don’t stop so quickly. If life gives you limes, make a Brazilian lemonade!

Creamy and refreshing Brazilian lemonade
For the first time I heard of this creamy, dreamy sip from my colleague Jess. When she was a cooking professor, one of her students, Paulo, couldn’t stop raving about this refreshing drink. That stayed with me, so of course I had to try it myself. In contrast to the homemade lemonade, which you are used to, Brazilian lemonade is actually made with lime. In Brazil the word “Limão“Usually means lime, and” lemonade “means” lemonada “, even if it is lindbased.
There are various ways to make Brazilian lemonade (also known as Limonada Suiçaor Swiss lemonade). Some recipes only use the juice, while others (like this recipe here here) mix entire limes with the shell for additional taste. I prefer the frequently used whole method for the whole lime and the sweetened condensed milk because it is simply and in my opinion the most delicious! The milk makes it creamy and frothy, and mixing all the limes gives him a bright, citric blow, that is So refreshing On a hot day.

How to gradually take photos of Brazilian lemonade
Collect all of your ingredients.
Cut the lime into slices: Wash 4 medium -sized limes and cut them into neighborhoods.
Mix the ingredients: Add the cut limes, 4 cups of water and a 14 ounces. The sweetened condensed milk into a mixer.
Mix everything up for 15 seconds. You no longer have to mix for the. Flying can make your Brazilian lemonade bitter!
The lemonade strain: Place a sieve over a bowl and pour the Brazilian Limeade through the sieve. You may have to do this in batches depending on your sieve.
Tap on the seven sides to go through the liquid faster. Do not press the pulp to avoid being added to bitterness.
Surcharge: Pour your homemade Brazilian lemonade in a glass over ice 1 cup (8 ounces). I do not recommend adding the ice to the entire jug of lemonade as it can water it. Repeat the tension process with every remaining lemonade and enjoy it!
How to avoid a bitter Brazilian lemonade
The method that I use here ensures that the Brazilian lime limonade remains smooth and refreshing. Do not mix the lime for more than 15 seconds because the white mark can turn the drink bitterly. And when you strain, skip the pulp so that nothing strikes this bitterness. I like carefully type the edges of the sieve to reach the liquid without enforcing anything.
If you want your creamy lemonade sweeter, converted more sweetened condensed milk. If you no longer have condensed milk, a little sugar or simple syrup works.
- Increase the citrus taste. If you want your Brazilian lemonade to taste more citrus after mixing, press a small additional lime juice. I sometimes do that when I long for Zing.
- Cute it. If you know that you like your drink on the sweeter side, add a little more sweetened condensed milk until it is exactly right for you.
- Adjust the autumn. When the lemonade ends too sour, stir in a little more water. I’ve already done that when my limes were particularly lively.
- Enjoy the foamy top! The creamy foam above comes from the mixture of the sweetened condensed milk. It is a small airy layer that makes this drink so refreshing.
- Wash your Limes well! They are added to the mixer, the skin and everything, so we would like to make sure they are clean. Do not use waxed limes for this recipe.
- Strain well for the smoothness. Make sure you strain the drink well to remove pulp.
Storage instructions
Freshness is the key when you create this recipe for the Brazilian lemonade. I therefore recommend enjoying it immediately. You can keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days, but remember that the taste and the texture are not completely the same. It can be bitter the longer it is saved. Shake or stir before they serve again.
