Avocado Smoothie – Budget Bytes

Did you know that you can freeze avocados? This information is changing when I opened my former Avo restaurant in Nashville in 2015. We used frozen avocado in our typical drink Avocado Margarita And let me tell you that an eager avocados saved us a few dough! Now I buy ripe avocados at any time when you are on sale, cut it up and throw it into the freezer later. This avocado -smoothie is the perfect way to consume frozen avocado. I know that Avocado may sound crazy in a drink, but trust me, it is the secret of an ultra -rich, dessert -like smoothie. It is full of healthy fats and gives the same creamy texture for which avocados (and guacamole) are known! This is your new favorite green smoothie.

What is an avocado smoothie?

Citrus fruits and avocado are a classic combination. In this smoothie I add a creamy, mature banana and a little additional sweetness of Agave Nectar, which makes it an immediate winner! This avocado -smoothie is the perfect pleasure with many healthy ingredients.

You need the following an avocado -smoothie:

  • Frozen avocado: Makes this smoothie sleeping creamy and adds heart-healthy fats, fiber and omega-3-3 fats.
  • Agave: This syrup gives this smoothie a touch of sweetness to compensate for the acid aromas. Agave is a neutral sweetener that, in contrast to maple and honey (which are delicious!), But can sometimes take on the taste.
  • Frozen banana: Add taste, subtle sweetness and creaminess.
  • OJ: Compared to the faote of the avocado and add a light taste.
  • Limet juice: Add a touch of additional acid to compensate for the sweet and creamy flavors.

What else can I add?

This smoothie is a great basis to add additional greens or fruit!

  • I love adding spinach or kale.
  • Frozen blueberries or pineapple make great fruity additions!
  • Add a ball of peanut butter or vanilla protein powder for a protein thrust!

  • 1 Tbsp agave ($ 0.14)
  • 1/2 Frozen mature banana ($ 0.41)
  • 1/2 cup Oj ($ 0.60)
  • 1 Tbsp Lime juice ($ 0.04)

How to make an avocado -smoothie – step by step photos

1/2 cup of frozen avocado, 1 tablespoon of agave syrup, 1/2 of a frozen, tire banana, 1/2 cup of OJ and 1 tablespoon of lime juice together, mix together. Serve ice cream cold!
