Let’s be honest: Avoiding alcohol is a great way to save money, especially if you go a lot in bars and restaurants. While cocktails are delicious, they are not a necessity and definitely fall into the “Sorge Yourself” category. However, if you are looking for a unique drink for adults at home that does not break the bank, try my refreshing avocado Margarita! Avocado in a cocktail may sound strange, but don’t knock it until you try! It was also the typical drink in my former restaurant and it is perfect for Cinco de Mayo, summer cookouts or your next Taco Tuesday!

Simple recipe for avocado margaritas
Get ready to experience a taste explosion like no other. This avocado margarita -cocktail is seriously creamy, lively and subtly sweet. I like to use aircraft bottles instead of buying a whole bottle of alcohol – it is a great way to save money if you do not absorb. Depending on the spirits business, you will usually find a pretty good tequila in small quantities. This margarita is thanks to the citrus bowl, the ripe avocado and the fresh coriander full of taste, one or you can leave the tequila completely and still enjoy a super satisfactory mocktail version!

How to make an avocado Margarita Step-by-step photos
Collect all of your ingredients.
Freeze the avocado: Remove the meat from an avocado and divide it into quarter segments. Set the avocado quarters in a zipper bag and freeze them. It can take about 1.5-2 hours for the avocado to freeze.
I actually had a whole avocado today and decided to freeze everything (I used ½ to make this recipe and saved the rest in the freezer). Freezing keeps the Avocado green, and I can use the other half for another amount of these margs or an avocado smoothie in the future!
Citrus shell shell: Carefully 1 large navel orange and 1-2 limes. I usually get about 1 tablespoon of bowl from a large navel orange and 2 teaspoon of bowl from a large lime. For this recipe you need 2 teaspoons of orange peel and 2 TL lime shell as a whole (avoid the white core under the bowl because this is bitter. It is only the colorful bowl that we want!)
Juice the citrus fruits: As soon as you can be insulted, juice your orange and lime. You need 1/3 cup of orange juice and 3 tablespoons of lime juice. I like to have a replacement orange and lime at hand, just in case my citrus fruits are not juicy enough.
Mixture: Add ½ a frozen avocado, 2 aircraft bottles of tequila, 1/3 cup of orange juice, 1 teaspoon orange peel, 3 tablespoons of lime juice, 2 tablespoons of agave syrup or honey, a few fricit freese coriander and 2 cups of ice cream in their blenders.
Mix until the mixture is smooth and has no large lumps of avocado or ice cream.
Make the edge: Mix the remaining 1 -Tl -orange shell, 2 teaspoon lime peel and 1 teaspoon of salt in a small bowl.
Now press 2 rock glasses into any remaining citrus juice. If you don’t have a juice left, use your finger to brush the rims with a little agave or honey.
Turn the glass rims into the bowl and the salt mixture. The juice/agave on the edge helps him keep it and make a delicious garnish set!
Surcharge: Pour your homemade avocado margaritas into every glass. I had a few remaining coriander and lime slices, so I used them to garnish my glasses. Serve and enjoy immediately!
- During my recipe test I found 1 large orange usually results in a bowl of 1 tablespoon And 1 large lime results in about 2 teaspoons of shell. Carefully zest! They only want the fragrant, colorful part of the lime and orange peel, not the white mark, which can be too bitter.
- Room temperature cit. Leave your juices much easier than cold! Let your orange and limes be exposed at room temperature at least 30 minutes before the post -juice. You can do it too Microwave for about 20 seconds To warm them up when they are cold from the fridge.
- This recipe for Avocado Margarita can be made without tequila; Simply replace the tequila with additional orange juice. When they belong to the people who think that coriander tastes like soap, You could use MINT instead.
- Make sure to wash your orange, limes and coriander Before using them, especially since they strive and mix.
- And especially, Make sure your avocado is ripe! A mature avocado should give it easy if you press the skin carefully.
