The Retro Trick That Makes Oatmeal Taste Like Dessert

Breakfast is my favorite food, probably because it is the only one that you can hand over as a dessert. Pancakes, muffins and French toast sit firmly at the sweet end of the spectrum. Light Less sweet, there is yogurt with berries and muesli or a piece of toast with a thick jam layer. Everyone seems to keep me full for about five minutes before I inevitably wandered back to the fridge.

Oatmeal is my happy medium: it is hearty, satisfactory and a canvas for the creativity of my inner child. (Chocolate chips! Well, it was – until I came across a trick that fell in love with me again A “shot” sweetened condensed milk.
