Jalapeño Popper Potato Soup – PaleOMG

Jalapeño Popper Potato Soup – PaleOMG

Whether we like it or not who comes super bowl. I’m just joking, calm down. I know I’m part of this strange 2% of Americans who don’t like football. However, it is difficult that 2% of people hang around on the Super Bowl Sunday with which they can hang out. It is like trying to find friends who don’t want to drink and just want to have good conversations. Where are these people? I think maybe I have to find a withdrawal or a little more from these people with whom I can surround myself. Or contact the creepy Craigslist to find support groups for people who hate football and only want to talk about the new restaurant that you tried last week. Or the spiritual journey on which they are. Is that too much to ask?

Brian shouldn’t be in the city this weekend and I was happy because that meant that I didn’t have to watch the Super Bowl. But these plans failed, which means that he will be here and his ass is switched off while watching his favorite team. Brian is one of the quietest people I know. He never raises his voice when we come into a fight. It is always just like a dramatic breakdown … but when the chiefs play, this MF is not stressed at an end. It’s so fun to see how he beats a pillow or writes the television. It’s just as interesting as invested people come into a game. Imagine watching all these people in the stadiums or from home, as you know better than the players and coaches, used all of these energy and did something to change our world. Can you imagine how fantastic this place could be? But instead, they spend their Sundays with shouting people they will never hear or will take care of it. Sport, man. I just don’t understand them.

But I try every year. Just like a meal that you have never enjoyed in the past, it is worth trying every year to see if your palate has changed. Well, I try again and again and my palate for sports have remained intact. Do you know which sport do I have anything? Rugby. Well, that’s some fine specimens. But unfortunately our country loves football and I will capture it until I move to another country. I’m still trying to find out where that could be. I think I will watch the film Booksmart again on Sunday. Then end it with the first season of Ted Lasso. Talk about 2 FEEL films/shows that earn a Rewatch at least once a month.

Did I mention that this soup would be great for the Super Bowl Sunday? Oops.

  • Preparation time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking time: 45 minutes
  • Total time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 6– –8 Portions 1X
  • 5 Jalapeños
  • 1 tablespoon Avocado oil
  • 16oz Frozen cauliflower flowers
  • 1/2 Pfund bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 Yellow onion, cubes
  • 3 Carrots, cubes
  • 3 Selleriiele, thrown
  • 3 Cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1/2– –1 Teaspoon of salt
  • 32oz Chicken bone broth
  • 4Oz Almond milk fresh cheese, brought to room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or coconut cream
  • 4 Gold potatoes
  • Fresh chives, chopped
  • coarse salt for garnish
  • Black pepper to garnish

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Place in the oven to bake for 10-15 minutes until they are charred on the outside.
  2. Steam cauliflower to the fork advertisement.
  3. While the cauliflower dampens, put a pot over medium heat. Add bacon and cook it crispy. Remove with a slit spoon and set aside on a paper towel. Remove excess fat from the pan and leave 2-3 tablespoons of bacon fat. Chop the bacon into small pieces.
  4. Add the onion, carrots and celery in the pot and fry it until the onion is translucent through 8-10 minutes. Add garlic and salt and cook for another 2-4 minutes. Add broth and cover to cook low for 10 minutes.
  5. Use a fork to put holes in the 4 potatoes. Face a paper towel and load out, then wrap the potatoes into the moist paper towel. Place in the microwave to continue cooking for 5 minutes. As soon as they are cooked and cooked tender, peel (or not, they are an adult and I trust their judgment) the potatoes and chop them into a bite size.
  6. Finally, they peel the charred skin of the Jalapeños and dispose of them. Put a Jalapeño aside to garnish later. Now keep the seeds or reject it by running the back of a knife through the middle of each Jalapeño. In the seeds you will find the heat and the spice, and you never really know what you will get, so I kept the seeds for 2 Jalapeños and thrown away the seeds for the other two, but I leave the spice level to you. Then chop the Jalapeños into small pieces and put them in the pot. Add the cauliflower, cream cheese and the heavy cream and then mix a immersion mixer to mix the soup smoothly. Stir the potatoes into the soup and taste and taste good to see if the soup needs more salt. I thought it did and added about 1/2 teaspoons more!
  7. Top soup with bacon, a few slices of this solo charred Jalapeño and fresh chives. Then sprinkle a little coarse salt and black pepper before serving!
