These simple salmon bourges are just so good.

Lindsay Ostrom Headshot.

We speak of crispy outside, scaly inside and a perfect golden color, not to mention a lot of diet, thanks salmon.

They are also easy to create and require (normally) minimal, if not zero, a shopping facilities, provided you have a decently equipped pantry. I love, love, love these crispy, pan fried little boys.

And as if the Lachsburgers were not already good enough to eat alone (what, um, they are), they have to make this coleslaw to serve their salmon castles in/on/to serve. It is nothing special – just a crushed cabbage, yogurt, herbs, garlic and acetic situation, but coupled with the salmon castles? The crispy combo tangy combination is a combo combo.

I love this. You love this. We all love them. Burger!

Ingredients for these salmon burgers

This recipe is a pantry stall! Here is what you need:

  • Salmon (cans or pre -cooked)
  • Egg
  • breadcrumbs
  • Spices
  • Lemon juice
  • olive oil
  • Salt
  • Herbs

I really love to have these salmon burgers with a little fresh dill for the herbs for a big taste. But you can also use 1) freezer -dried dill, which I keep in my spice collection all year round and 2) every other fresh herb! I made a version of it with parsley and coriander when I didn’t have a dill and Mwah. They were still totally tasty.

Dill would still be my first choice, but like with all my favorite recipes, you can play a bit with it.

Which type of salmon is best? (Doses against fresh)

And now for the big question. Do you use canned salmon? Subtext: Is it gross?

Answer: Yes, I use salmon in cans, and no, it is certainly not gross in these salmon castles when you buy the right things.

Fresh salmon that you have already cooked would also work if the salmon in doses is too strange to you (see our instructions for cooking salmon). But I would like to take a moment to assure you that it is very possible to find non-showed salmon in cans if you are looking for a little and are ready to spend a little more for higher quality. I really like it Wild planet Salmon in doses. It is trapped in Alaska, and Wild Planet prioritizes sustainability and maintenance of marine ecosystems with all its products. Not sponsored, just a super fan. You can also buy it Here at Amazon (Affiliate -Link). And because it is in cans, you can simply keep it in your pantry and have it ready if you need a little luck of the salmon burger.

God blessed pantry meals.

Since I have made many clear, I love this on this herbal salad for a fresh, protein lunch situation, but as always you have options!

  • Make the herb salad even easier and Grab your favorite salad -kit From the store! (See: also these spicy Lachsburger).
  • Put on a bun too Make it a real burger (Maybe even crowned with the herb salad!? Or just yogurt, avocado, mayo, salad, tomato, whatever).
  • Serve as the main protein In addition to some potatoes or rice, vegetables or a simple salad.

Lachsburger: frequently asked questions

Can I use fresh salmon instead of doses?

Absolutely! However, this recipe is to be made with boiled salmon. Just make sure to cook and train your salmon before mixing everything. You don’t know how to cook salmon? We covered them!

Can I freeze these burgers?

Yes indeed! I would probably mix and shape them and then freeze them. If you are ready for cooking, you should simply be able to put them in a pan from frozen! Just let them cook a little longer so that you are hot all the way.

How long do these burgers last?

These last about 3 days in the fridge and 3 months in the freezer.

How do you know when the burgers are finished?

Since the only raw ingredient with which we work with is (thanks, cooked salmon!), You should make sure that they are cooked to at least 160 degrees in the middle.

How can I make these burgers gluten -free?

Simply! Exchange the breadcrumbs for GF bread crumbs or almond flour.

Can I grill these burgers?

Secure! Just make sure your grill grille is beautiful and well oiled.

Salmon

Kohl’s coleslaw

  1. For the salmon: Flok the salmon apart. Mix all burger ingredients together and shape 3 large or 4 medium pastets. Heat the olive oil over medium heat, ideally in a non -layer pan. Fry the burgers on each side until golden brown and crispy. Place on a tapered plate and sprinkle with salt.

  2. For the coleslaw: Mix all herbal salad together. Try and set.

  3. Surcharge: Serve these hot salmon burgers on a creamy herb salad on a bed. I have mine with a shot extra yogurt and you quickly from oil and more herbs. Can’t stop me.

Notes

Breaks are important here. Panko gives a really beautiful texture, while whole grain bread crumbs are a good choice if you want to skip the sophisticated grains. If you use a seasoned bread tree mix, reduce the amount of salt in the burgers by about 1/2.

For the salmon, they were able to use the remaining subdued, poached, grilled, baked, whatever salmon. If you do not have a handle -ready wooden salmon, use boneless skinless salmon! I usually do that. I would recommend looking for a brand of salmon in cans that are caught in the USA. I like wildly Wild Planeet for high -minded bone -free, skinless salmon. You can read more about it Your procurement/fishing methods here.

If you happen to have a glass of sunshine sauce in your fridgeUse this to make the herb salad! Simply mix the cabbage with yogurt, add some sunshine sauce and polish it with a little dill. Super tasty.

The burgers stay pretty well in the fridge (~ 3 days) or in the freezer (~ 3 months). If you are ready to eat, put them in a selpaled pan to warm up because it keeps crispy! However, the herb salad is best eaten immediately. It probably has a day in the fridge for a day as soon as it was mixed.

Gluten -free: We tried three different GF options -almond flour, crushed chex cereal and GF -Häfer. All three turned out to be great substitutes, but we liked the smooth texture and taste of the almond flour version. Almond meal would also work just as well.
