Ginger Beer Lemonade Recipe (2 Ingredients, 2 Minutes)

A few years ago I moved my family to another state, which meant that our pantry was completely wiped out. Filling up an entire pantry means that a serious shopping shopping must occur.

After a few days when I lived on delivery pizza, I decided that it was time to make a house cook, so I loaded my trustworthy van and went to Costco. When shopping for the urgently needed Pantry booklets, I pushed the most wonderful sample that has now become a staple in my house.

When I saw the sample of lemonade and gingerbier for the first time, I was a little unsure. I love myself a little lemonade and I always love blowing, but Ginger? This is just a wild conversation. As usual, strange food combos always gain me over, and I am so happy that this did.

Adding gingerbier to lemonade was a stroke of genius, and this small bubbling preparation is one that my family now produces every summer. The subtle, earthy spice and the gingerbread of the gingerbier complete the cakes and the light flavors of the lemonade perfectly.

Choose your ingredients

The ingredients for this summer sip are simple: lemonade, gingerbier and ice cream. I like to use a ratio of 1: 1 with a lot of ice cream, but this is a personal preference – used the relationship that your heart desires. When it comes to which types of lemonade and gingerbirds are to be used, the Bio Limonade and Bundaberg -Eingswerbier cannot be beaten. It is the original combination that I had this fateful day at Costco, and it still takes first place.

That means not everyone has access to Costco, so I tried some other combinations from my local grocery store. I tried different types of lemonades – including a powder package and in cans – and various brands from gingerbier. My family also tested all the different combinations and there was no clear winner! We all had different preferences, depending on our taste buds. So use everything you prefer.

Ginger from Fever Tree Brand was definitely the sharpest. If you like that, I recommend that. If you are not a fan of gingerbier bites, but still have the ginger taste and the bubbles, you can exchange it for Ginger Ale or even Kombucha.

How can I make my 2-ingredients gingerbier lemonade

For a portion you need:

  • Ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup of lemonade
  • 1/2 cup of gingerbier

Fill a high glass with ice cream and pour the lemonade and gingerbier into it. Serve immediately.

I do not recommend making this drink in advance because the gingerbier loses its sparkling wine, and that is part of his charm. If you want to make it in a large batch and serve immediately, it would be perfectly fine!
