On July 8, Mondelēz Global LLC remembered Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker-Sandwiches due to a label mix. The individually packed packs of crackers can wear a “cheese” cracker label if they really contain peanut butter. Bakery bread, which was recalled in 12 states for allergen not announced
On July 10th, Hartford Bakery, Inc. remembered six of the Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style 1/2 loaf. The recall was issued after bread made with hazelnuts was wrongly packed as “Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style 1/2 Laib” fishing bread. While the packaging said the bread “contains tree nuts”, there were no hazelnuts. The problem was linked to a packaging mix.
People with severe allergy to hazelnuts could experience life -threatening allergic reactions if they accidentally eat this misstaired product. The bread, which has now been resumed, was distributed to Kroger, Walmart and other retailers in 12 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
