Simply 3 ingredients frozen yogurt recipe

I played around with a few combos, but this trio of ingredients always meets the sweet spot when I do homemade frozen yogurt. The most difficult part of the homemade Froyo is the perfect creamy texture. Too much water in the mixture means too many ice crystals. All -fat Greek yogurt is my claim because it is thick, lively and tense, so it doesn’t have much additional water. Then the sweetened condensed milk pulls twice the mandatory by keeping things cute And smooth. It has just enough sugar and creaminess to reduce the formation of these annoying ice crystals that can make homemade Froyo a little too crispy.

And the vanilla? It brings a familiar taste and makes the whole thing taste like the real deal. It is a seriously budget -friendly treat and your family can adapt your how you want. I love throwing a small top -bar, based on all sweets or chocolate chips that we have in the house!

  1. Stay with full high -fat Greek yogurt and sweetened condensed milk. I tried low -fat versions and regular yogurt and they just don’t cut it. Too much water leads to an icy texture, and there is no sweet or creaminess that this recipe needs, and there is no remaining milk (or evaporated milk).
  2. Use flat containers to freeze it faster. If you want to speed up things (and who is not if you are frozen yogurt on the line?), Share the mixture into one or two flat containers. The thinner the layer, the faster it freezes and the less time you will peek into the freezer.
  3. If you have an ice cream maker, do it. While this recipe works without one, you can use an ice machine to make it. Simply follow the manufacturer’s instructions and enlarge yourself.
  4. Cover the surface to avoid ice crystals. I use plastic film, but to press a piece of parchment paper against the surface of the Froyo mix.

Variations & serving ideas

As soon as this Greek yogurt ice cream is frozen, it is ready to serve! I like a classic waffle cone, but a bowl also works excellently … especially if you load it with coverings. 😋 Here are some delicious variations and serving ideas:

  • Top with chocolate chips, crushed sweets, sprinkles or chopped nuts (whatever you have in the pantry!)
  • Switch off the vanilla extract for a different taste such as almond or lemon
  • Drizzle with a fruity blueberry sauce or a strawberry cupboard jam
  • Stir in the chocolate pieces or shavings, mini -marshmallows or fresh fruit such as blueberries, diced strawberries or chopped peaches before freezing
  • For a rich, sweet and salty combination with a salted caramel sauce
  • Would you like to make a fruits with fruit taste? Throw the yogurt, the condensed milk and fresh or frozen fruits into a blender and mix them until you are freezing before freezing
  • Shovel some vanilla frozen yogurt between two chocolate biscuits for a quick and simple dessert -Sandwich
  • Try to reward your portion with balsamic glaze for a surprisingly delicious treat that is worth trying!

Storage instructions

This vanilla frozen yogurt can be kept in the freezer for up to 1-2 months. Make sure it is covered and in a freezing container. Leave it at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before it is drawn so that it can soften a little softer if it is too firm to draw.
