These Key Lime Energy Balls are a bright and zesty snack that captures all the flavors of classic Key Lime Pie in one bite. Made with dates, cashews, coconut and fresh lime juice, they offer a sweet and spicy pick-me-up with a tropical finish. These easy-to-make grab-and-go energy balls are the perfect quick afternoon snack or pre-breakfast snack.

These Chai Energy Balls are the ultimate snack – full of flavor, fiber and just the right amount of natural sweetness. Infused with warm spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger, these bite-sized snacks create a chai-like vibe with every bite. And thanks to their high fiber content, they can help you feel full, making them the perfect snack for busy days or as a source of energy before or after a workout.
Fig Newton inspired energy balls
Photographer: Robby Lozano, Food Stylist: Jennifer Wendorf, Prop Styling: Christina Brockman
These Fig Newton-inspired energy balls contain chewy figs just like the original snack bar. Here we combine them with dates, almond butter and fiber-rich oat flakes to create a gut-healthy snack to start the morning or combat an afternoon slump.
Cranberry Orange Energy Balls
Photographer: Morgan Hunt Glaze, Food Stylist: Margaret Monroe Dickey, Props Stylist: Priscilla Montiel
These Orange Cranberry Energy Balls are the perfect combination of sweet, spicy and nutty flavors with a refreshing citrus twist. These bite-sized snacks are perfect for on-the-go, pre- or post-workout energy, or a healthy pick-me-up at any time of day. We love the subtle flavor of almond butter, but any nut butter works well here.
Energy balls inspired by crunch bars
Photographer: Jen Causey, Food Stylist: Jennifer Wendorf, Props Stylist: Lindsey Lower
To mimic a Crunch bar, we packed this energy ball with crunchy puffed rice cereal in a milk chocolatey, chewy center. A drizzle of dark chocolate creates a more intense chocolate flavor. Cashew butter has a mild, neutral flavor that doesn’t overpower the other ingredients, but you can substitute it with nut butter if you’d like.
Energy balls inspired by almond joy
Photographer: Jen Causey, Food Stylist: Jennifer Wendorf, Props Stylist: Priscilla Montiel
These Almond Joy-inspired Energy Balls feature the distinctive nuttiness of coconut, dark chocolate and a creamy almond butter center to deliver all the classic flavors of the popular chocolate bar. Prepare these energy balls in advance for a grab-and-go breakfast or morning snack.
Blueberry Cobbler Energy Balls
Photographer: Morgan Hunt Glaze, Props Stylist: Lydia Pursell, Food Stylist: Emily Nabors Hall
These energy balls combine dried blueberries, oats, and pecans for a bite-sized taste of blueberry cobbler. You can use almond butter for a nuttier flavor or sunflower butter for a milder flavor to hold them together. These portable snacks are ready in just 30 minutes and can be stored in your fridge or freezer for a quick grab-and-go snack.
Anti-inflammatory energy balls
Photographer: Stacy k. Allen, Props: Christina Brockman, Food Stylist: Lauren Odum
Inspired by Cherry Garcia flavors, these Chocolate Cherry Date Energy Balls are a tasty homage to the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor named after Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. Packed with chunks of dark chocolate and dried tart cherries, they’re not only delicious, but they also contain polyphenols, a nutrient found in cherries that can help suppress inflammation.
Protein-rich lemon blueberry energy balls
Photographer: Grant Webster, Food Stylist: Holly Dreesman, Props Stylist: Lexi Juhl
These sweet and refreshing energy balls contain protein from almonds, almond butter and hemp seeds. Enjoy this easy snack before or after a workout, or as a nice midday pick-me-up at work. The final glaze adds a spicy sweetness, but you can leave it out if you prefer a little less sugar.
Apple and Peanut Butter Energy Balls
Photographer: Jen Causey, Food Stylist: Chelsea Zimmer, Props Stylist: Christine Keely
These energy balls combine two of fall’s best flavors: apples and pumpkin pie spice. For a stronger apple flavor, you can replace the applesauce with apple butter. Don’t confuse dried apples with apple chips! Apple chips have a crunchy texture that would make the energy balls too crunchy. If your apple mixture is too sticky and difficult to roll, lightly grease your hands with cooking spray or simply refrigerate the mixture for 15 minutes before rolling.
Energy balls inspired by sticky buns
Photographer: Jen Causey, Food Stylist: Chelsea Zimmer, Props Stylist: Julia Bayless
This energy ball is packed with just the right amount of sugar and spice. To truly mimic a sticky bun, we added a caramel pecan topping for a nice extra crunch. If you prefer, you can replace the cashew butter with another nut butter.
Pumpkin Spice Energy Balls
These Pumpkin Pie Spice Energy Balls have everything you could want in a snack: classic pumpkin spice flavor with a pleasantly chewy texture and crunchy seeds and nuts throughout. It’s worth looking for cashew or almond butter to make these – they have a more neutral flavor that brings out the spices and pumpkin, but any nut butter will work too.
Caramel Delight Energy Balls
Think of these easy no-bake cookies as a healthy take on one of our favorite Girl Scout cookies: chewy caramel, dark chocolate, and toasted coconut are combined with fiber-rich oats instead of sugar and flour. And the best part? They only take 15 minutes from start to finish.
Blueberry Lemon Energy Balls
If you’re looking for a lunchtime pick-me-up, these blueberry lemon balls take just minutes to make and are a perfect on-the-go snack. Walnuts provide a boost of plant-based protein to keep you energized, while a little maple syrup adds sweetness.
Iced Lemon Cookie Energy Balls
Next time you’re craving Girl Scout cookies, try these healthier no-bake cookies instead. Their bright and citrusy flavor is balanced by the sweetness of Medjool dates and held together by millet and almond flour. Keep the dough chilled and dust your hands with powdered sugar to prevent it from sticking to your hands as you shape it.
